Huirisi Temple, also known as the Sun Pavilion, has a long history. It was originally a three-story octagonal pavilion-style building, which was destroyed and later rebuilt. At present, the temple houses structures such as the dining hall, monks’ quarters, the Sun Pavilion Dabei Tower, and the main hall. Among them, the Sun Pavilion Dabei Tower is an octagonal building: the first floor is called Yuan Tong Zi Zai, the second floor is called Long Shan Ji Xue, and the third floor is the Sun Pavilion.
